Description: The Sacrifice of Isaac is a fresco by the Italian Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, painted in 1517-1518 as part of the decoration of the Stanza di Eliodoro in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. The fresco depicts the biblical story of the sacrifice of Isaac, in which God tests Abraham’s faith by commanding him to sacrifice his son Isaac.
