Description: This portrait depicts Frances Puleston, the daughter of Sir Thomas Puleston, 4th Baronet, and his wife, Frances. She married Bryan Cooke of Owston, Yorkshire, in 1785. Romney painted this portrait of Frances in 1786, the year after her marriage. The portrait was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1786.
